Welcome to the Virtual FoxPro User Group!

Please take a moment to read the following information and frequently asked questions and take a quick look around the Virtual FoxPro User Group (VFUG) site to familiarize yourself with all that VFUG has to offer. You may want to print this page to keep as a reference.

What does VFUG have to offer me?

VFUG has many features available for all of our members. We offer an large, up to date Knowledge Base, monthly newsletters full of helpful articles, case studies, on-line lectures with scheduled question-and-answer sessions, contacts with other members, user groups, vendors, WWW links, resources, and many, many more features.

We are also proud to offer the VFUG mailing list. This list has 3 possible configurations for you. The first (and default) configuration is no e-mail at all. The second option, is to be notified of changes to the VFUG site. This acts as a reminder to come check out the new stuff we have to offer. The last, and perhaps most valuable setting for the busy developer, is to receive all of the updates to the FAQ, tips, newsletters, etc. as soon as we publish them. It won't completely substitute for the web pages, but it will come close. In addition, you can save them for future reference without having to connect to the site itself.

In order to configure your mail setting, click on the "People" link, and then the "Account Configuration" link to alter the default setting.

Best of all, all of these features are absolutely free!

What does VFUG have to offer my local FoxPro User Group?

VFUG also has a special affiliation program for local FoxPro User Groups (FUGs) as well. Click on the "Affiliation" link for more details.

What does VFUG have to offer my company?

If your company offers a FoxPro related product or service, you may be interested in our Vendor program. We basically swap advertising to a select group of people (namely thousands of serious FoxPro developers) in exchange for offering a discount to VFUG members. Check out the "Vendor" link for more details.

How can I contribute to VFUG?

Many of our members contribute to VFUG every day. They often tell me it is their way of "giving back" to VFUG for the times in which they received help from VFUG resources. There are many ways in which VFUG members can contribute. We are always looking for FAQ's, tips and tricks, lectures, case studies, etc. Any content that is valuable to FoxPro developers is valuable to VFUG. There are even more simple ways to contribute. The more exposure VFUG has, the more VFUG will be able to offer to its members. Thus, if you have a web page, "give us a link", and feel free to use the graphic below. If you don't have a web page, tell your friends about VFUG. We are growing fast, and have something to offer everyone!

Who do I contact if I have any problems or questions?

If you are having any difficulties with the VFUG site or mailing list, have any questions about VFUG or its services, would like to make a contribution, etc., please contact the officers of VFUG.

Please Note: VFUG is not a technical support service from the standpoint that the officers of VFUG cannot answer questions not relating to VFUG. The officers of VFUG donate their time and money to maintain VFUG and, like everyone else, are extremely busy. Therefore, please do not e-mail us directly with your FoxPro related questions. We are all active in the various forums (listservers, newsgroups, VFUG Support Forum, etc.), and will gladly answer your questions there.

What are VFUG's policies?

VFUG doesn't have very many policies, but the ones we do have are expected to be followed, and are common sense. Failure to comply with these policies could mean expulsion from VFUG and can be punishable by law (where applicable):

Where can I ask my FoxPro related questions?

VFUG is excited to announce our latest member service, the VFUG Message Forum. Please note: you must be a VFUG member to be able to view this area.
